Finial Form / Project resources

A clearer brief.
A more useful model.

A practical guide for builders, homeowners and developers preparing architectural imagery or a private walkthrough.

Start with the decision

Decide what the next review needs to answer: whether the kitchen feels connected to the living space, how an addition meets the existing home, or how a customer moves through a commercial interior. That question should guide the views and controls you commission.

Bring a consistent drawing set

Gather the available floor plans, elevations and sections. Identify the current revision and note any differences between the drawings and an existing model. For remodels and additions, include measured existing information and photographs so proposed work can be understood in context.

Define the material alternatives

Provide the paint, flooring, cabinetry and finish references you want to compare. Keep alternatives specific: a named wall color or a particular timber finish is easier to prepare and review than an open request to change everything. Physical samples remain useful alongside digital views.

Choose the experience around the audience

Stills support quick comparison and presentations. A film communicates a chosen sequence through the space. A private interactive environment lets a reviewer choose where to walk and compare the options prepared for the project. A headset review adds an immersive viewpoint; delivery and device requirements belong in the scope.

Agree the deliverables and review

List the required views, films, model coverage, prepared controls, revision rounds and target review date. For hosted interaction, also define session access, the number of simultaneous users and the period of hosting. Ask how selections and model changes will be recorded.

Use a real example

The ADU showcase follows arrival, interior detail and evening outdoor living using supplied project renders. The courtyard study demonstrates prepared material combinations from a consistent viewpoint. Use those examples to describe what you want your own review to achieve.
